They think it is crocodile leather and they only carry alligator leather.

I will just 'settle' for an alligator strap that's don't have too uniform scales.

A lot of current straps are quite thick and are not as elegant as the vintage ones!! But whatever you should choose will be amazing, I am sure J

I am going for 2.5mm taper to 2mm and using leather from the belly side towards the tail, so the scale is smaller and less regular.
