Horological Meandering

You can own a watch for a long time but you don't really appreciate it until you spend some time with it on the wrist. This is so true of the Baume&Mercier Capeland Flyback Chrono. At 44mm I expected it to wear like a tuna can on the wrist, so it got very...  

The Date on such a dial is a scandal... A date which is not nicely integrated, and whose presence betrays a strange and not very welcome anachronism... Which is a strong no go for me. Without this bloody date... I would have a totally different opinion. B... 

Yes, we all know how much you HATE date windows on chronos and other timepieces... Were you, perhaps, attacked by a feral date wheel when you were young, Count Vlad? I too also dislike JARRING executions of date windows, where it looks like just an aftert... 

My Dad tortured me with a calendar... I had no other choice to impale him. Enough is enough... Now, he hates Dates. ;) I tend to like some of them, though. When they are well thought. The Datograph ( Date + Chronograph ) is, by essence a Watch whose date ... 

not even Count Vlad's remarks about date window managed to destroys my joy for this B&M (although he is doing damn good job and nearly succeeded) :) Nice watch with nice beverage...what more can man ask for ;) Cheers D P.S. That was really lovely easy...

they aren\'t "mushroom pushers" as they are not rounded on top. I personally prefer these flat top pushers as they feel more "solid" (the fingers have more surface area to "push") The pushers and crown are oversized even for the 44mm case but somehow it a...

most of us need the reminder about the date, unless you are an Eternal... :-)

keeps begging to be picked up and worn on the wrist. It's not perfect but it is very very compelling...
