I was warned no to do and I did it again.
My wife always tells me not to browse the net, because I always wind up buying up a new something I do not necessarily need.
Boy, was she right again.
I have to favorite watch complications: the chronograph and the perpetual calendar. Not simply like that though, the chrono should be a center minutes counter and the perpetual has to be a digital. I do not like dial clutter and very much dislike sub-dials within sub-dials with several pieces of information "buried" within. Just recently I got back from service my Omega Speedmaster Big Blue, the quintessential center minute chronograph with an eternally simple dial.
This prompted me to search for center minutes chronos available now-days. Sad to say not to many there is. Most notable is the Breguet Type XXI and XXII. During this search I came across a watch brand I never heard of before: Pierre DeRoche. They hail from the Jura Valley and the owners Carole and Pierre Dubois ( of the Dubois- Dépraz fame ). They produce unique timepieces that (of course) use Dubois- Dépraz modules/calibers. A most unusual is the SplitRock:
It has a proprietary Dubois- Dépraz caliber that has a chronograph that displays all chonographic information within one subdial. A unique take on the center minutes chrono.

A micro rotor and a vertical clutch.
A very nice uncluttered dial with a well executed dial. Most likely stamped not a true guilloche.
