Horological Meandering

I would like to know how people in this forum put their watches in their briefcase when traveling without causing scratch. Are you using travel watch case, or any other interesting methods? As I am trying to figure it out the most effective and efficient ... 

Hello Pau, I use a Pelican 1050 for traveling (otterbox, storm,etc..). The watch manufacture zip cases that are given when you have a service/warranty/repair done are good but usually have a soft exterior. Some even use sun/eye glass cases too. I recommen...

I take my watches around in the padded leather travel case pictured below. It has a suede-like interior with a padded divider. I usually also carry two polishing cloths inside the case that I lay over the face of the watches on either side of the divider....  

Until I put one in the hotel safe, it is a great excuse to wear two watches at the same time!

Where do you place the watches while going thru airport security? Or you do this only when on a driving trip? Just wondering.

It is not their role. Custom rarely check what you are wearing. Travelled 1,000,000 + Miles like this in and out of the country.

I find that with deployment clasps and metal bracelets the biggest worry is the extra metal scratching the back of the watch. I Breitling provide a travel soft pack inside their hard box. I use these as they are very compact, fit in the smallest briefcase...

I have been considering that kind of case too, but I am afraid that a big watch like AP or RM will not fit. What do you think from your experience?

Yes It came with a Breitling Seawolf avenger which is 17mm thick and 43 wide from memory...plus a metal bracelet. It will fit any watch within reason Regards, Jack

Don't have any affiliation or whatsoever with this person. I just think that this plastic look very "safe" for traveling...
