Interesting point

 

The question of the legacy is quite interesting, and it is also interesting to understand how it is interpreted: Who has the "right" to represent a brand, the brand or the people that worked for the brand?

As far as I know, when Panerai was bought by Vendome, the people working for Panerai in Firenze (Florence) did not want to relocate. (If you know a little about Italians and Florentines in particular, this comes at no surprise at all.)

That is how a CEO of Ferragamo, when creating Anonino, found its manpower. At the top, Dino Zei, the latest CEO of Panerai, is now working with Anonimo, designing his own line of watches. So maybe there is a lot of  Panerai within Anonimo and less of Panerai within Panerai?

Since I will spend Christmas back home (Firenze) I am planning to visit their manufacture to learn more.  Any questions you think it is worth asking?

i was surfing Panerai's for sale and saw this.. i think the case is superb, but are the company any good. i've read the history, but are they really 'the original panerai factory' or like lots of companies are they using history to their own advantage to ...  

The quality, in general, on Anonimo watches aren't that good IMO

They claim they purchased parts of Panerai's original factory. I don't know if it's true or not but that's one of the big points they've pushed when they first rolled out their watches several years ago. They're a little cheaper than most Panerai's and th...

i dont like panerai's that much. i love the size, but i think they are very expensive for what they are especially as there is so much else i want to buy thankz again Graham

pplater, are you referring to RXW who sell watches in the style of Pam's but without any fake branding on. i have a 'marina militaire' by RXW which is in style of an early radiomir with strap loops and old style crown. i dont class it as fake or replica a...
