Horological Meandering

I currently own a Black Label Calendrier,which will soon be returned from Geneva. And I am in the process of selling it to get the new Patek 5205G annual calender, which I liked from the second that I saw the first photo and then again when I had the oppo... 

and not saying anything about the quality; but I would keep the Journe, very classy, creative and incredible good looking watch. Patek might have the name, but I find them quite often so boring to look at. GEO

Since you have listed the journe, it seems that you have made your mind up.... I like both watches, but I have a slight preference for the Journe.... However, it is common knowledge that some of their models have had problems..... Good luck with your sale...

and i have to say that personaly i would keep this watch i think it is far much better looking and finished than the PP. and its quit easy to read as well, very stunning looking and sharp

The FPJ is not the Calendar but the Perpetuelle but it gives you a good idea: I think you can't find so different dial layouts ! Fr.Xavier...  

The piece should be returning back into the UK, hopefully sometime next week, which would have been a very long time of 3 1/2 months, especially when I was told by them that it would only take around 6-8 weeks. I also have some other misgivings, one of wh... 

I have just been contacted by my AD in London, stating that my "Black Label" Calendrier has just arrived back with them. All I have to now do is arrange collection. So, it is now decision time!

Personally, I think the bl calendrier is exceptional and would keep it over the 5205g... I find the fpj more interesting w/ retrograde date, all functions can be controlled by the crown, and the lack of a moonphase. the moonphase is the one function that ... 

I tend to agree with you, especially with regards to the Moonphase, its a complication that I have never had much call for, especially since I gave up being a "Werewolf" LOL.

A Journe it's a Journe.. IMHO

... in these considerations is how easy it is to replace a watch if you should regret parting with it. A limited edition will usually be more difficult to find again. Andrew

If you have other Journes, the Calendrier may be the one to part with...it seems that there are an awful lot of them up for auction/resale. I don't think you can make a bad choice here. The 5205 is a beautiful piece, but I do think in about 18 months, tha...
