Let's talk about the straps, shall we?
Hi Graham,
I have a medium size wrist at 7.25 inches or about 185 mm.
I wear my MIH on the 4th (from the floppy end) of 9 holes on the short strap.
You would probably be in the 3rd hole, as they seem to be 7.5 mm apart
The longer strap is longer only on the buckle side.
The shorter one is 70 mm long and the longer one is 90 mm long.
So if you use hole 3 of 9 with a short strap, you would use 6 of 9 on a long strap
That's 6 holes worth, or 2/3 of it - hanging out, so too much flopping.
I say short.
