i intend to put a leather on it anyway although i
want the correct length original strap. i measured a watch and strap that i
regularly wear and the total length was about 215mm from hole to tang, but if i
measure around my wrist it seems smaller so i'm a bit confused. to be on the
safe side i think i had better go for the long one as it has a movable keep to
hold the end in place.

sorry to disagree with you on this one, but i'm a
bit of a flabby geezer as you know, every time i eat chocolate it goes on my
