I don't know why, but many companies do this where they offset the time dial, they do it to the '9' position on the dial/case. As most people wear a watch on the left wrist, you can't see the time without moving your cuff all the way off the watch. Others are Lange1, AP Millenary in various guises, JLC Doumetre in some but not all of its incarnations.
Any ideas why the design team go along this route?
