Movements dials and case, the full package
For me it is unfair to compare a modern watch such as the Datograph with its movement "made to impress the gallery" with its crystal back with watches created in tempore non suspecto as real functional pieces some 70 years earlier...
I can give you names of makes and models, many of them, notwithsatanding that today you get one model per reference whils at the time ylu could get as many ... as well in most cases we do not know. Do you know all the references and configurations of say 13ZNs and/or say Aerocompax?
A best in class 13ZN sandwich dial, or a 13ZN tre tacche, or a ref 23066 or a ref 23297 or a ref 5061 or a mushroom pusher would leave a Datograph well behind in its/ their trail. I can find nûerous examples with Patek? Vacheron, Universal Geneve/ Zenith...
