Horological Meandering

My Dear Amanico, For Me 2015 Will Certainly Go Down As...

... The Year of Jaeger LeCoultre.

I suppose the love affair started in June when a mutual friend of ours was parting with a very limited piece and I just happen to be in the right place at the right time.  And let's just say I fell pretty hard because that was followed up with the acquisition of a Master Control and then an AMVOX chronograph shortly thereafter.

When I was in Paris, someone showed me a Snowdrop and I about fell out of my chair.  "What a funky lugless wonder", I thought, and without hesitation I knew it had to be part of my collection. The year was rounded out with a Memovox GT - totally cool, totally vintage, in perfect condition. 45 years old and the alarm can still wake the dead! Truth is, you never know what you will find or where you will find it - you just gotta keep looking.  The goal for 2016 is to continue the hunt for rare and unusual JLC specimens (Atmos included) in near perfect condition. It's the thrill of the kill...  it's not always easy or successful, but it sure is a helluva lot of fun.

Thank you for your passion and knowledge for this great brand.  Thank you for another year of posts and photographs.  It is fair to say you are the coups de coeur of this forum, monsieur.

All the best for the holidays, my friend.
