... is not assembled by hand, but by robots. Consequently, the finishing only depends on the programming of the tools. Of course, it is possible to order hand-finsihed and hand-assembled mvoements from ETA. They do everything, including hand-skeletonizing...

...although it's their strong heritage that appeals to me more than anything (and why I have so many vintage Tissots these days). Thanks for the practical review. Always nice to read something that doesn't sound like it came out of a PR department.

It is great to see close-ups of less expensive watches to understand where the effort goes in dial and casemaking. I wonder if you could share your other candidates for a day/date chronograph. It's a category that I am interested in too.
