I no longer follow Hodinkee, like most of the sponsored (supported) blogs.
Only few fora provides free informations, mostly when forumers are not covert sellers.
It's the new way to grab attention from new customers; on one side,you have these (unlikely) brand ambassadors (the fact that they can change "country" year by year it's just a mere detail, so i'd rather call them flags) clearly paid the brands.
On the other side, more subtle, there are the web influencers, these independent (my axe) gurus that reveal us, poor and ignorant readers, what is worth to buy.
Does anyone believe this stuff?
I'm sure I'm not the only person here who also regularly finds watch-related content on Hodinkee's Watchville app. I have to say that I've been struck generally by the paucity of what I'd call 'real content' on these blogs and the amount of stuff that see...

I've stopped reading Hodinkee for the most part.
It has for some time now been a vehicle for social climbing for the main editor and a rather large bunch of his fanboys.
Authenticity . . .
. . . can't be manufactured; it starts with established principles, and develops over time. Sites popping up today only have professional content to rely on. Eventually, anyone searching for authenticity on the 'net will end up here. Art
