They comfortable, but they do stretch.
In fact I am more worried about abrasion of the watch case back, so I covered the back with some tape. I've seen some well-used military issue watches that have significant wear marks on the back caused by use of a NATO strap.

think IMHO they are the most uncomfortable watch straps i've ever worn. i accept that all of mine have been the genuine green army issue, but the nylon chafes quite badly after a while. in the end i changed them all for 1 piece WW2 style leather military ...
