ScubaPro 500 another diving legend.
The Scubapro 500 marketed in the 1970's to divers by the legendary Diving equipment maker is a serious tool watch. Housing a ETA Cal 2784 a movement shared with the the Tudor submariner 91140 of the same period. It is really interesting to see the lume color treatment with the 12/6/9 all being more orange than the rest.

The mystery still surrounds this watch as to who was the maker but it seems many have considered Eterna KonTiki Super dive watch. But the Scubapro 500 has the crown protection guards.
It seems the Scubapro 500 has some military applications being used by the Swedish Navy's Attack Divers something a kin the the Navy Seals. The watch below is an example I found on the internet but not the watch I presented above.

Buyers be very careful with Seiko Scubapro 450 as 99% of those that come gor sale are not oroginal but mods. Luck with the Scubapro 500 nobody bothers.
There are so many interesting AND under the radar diving watches.
This one is one of them. I already heard about the brand but no informations, sadly. I didn't know that some armies used it. Cool find, Bill. But please, don't find too many, as I will never end my vintage diving watch topic. Best, Nicolas

Thank you for sharing this one! I never saw a Swedish connection to this one before. The text "LÅNE UR 22"="Borrowing watch 22" indicates that it was not a personal watch but one only for loan. Sweden used to have a special branch within the "Kustjägarna"...
