September Vienna GTG - another one of the intercontinental variety
GTGs are one of the truly wonderful features of PuristSPro, and recently - now that everyone is safely home - we have had another wonderful one in Vienna. Featuring participants (from West to East) from the US, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary and Japan, it certainly did not lack for diversity - and somewhat unusually, we even had a lady participant, which was highly welcome (especially since she was truly gracious in letting us be like little children with a new toy train set, in a restaurant
).
Unlike with some other GTGs, the timeline was somewhat limited, so the grappa consumption was light and we all left with plenty of stories remaining unsaid, waiting for the next time. Still it was nice putting some additional faces to avatars and a great time was had by all.
Of course - how could it be different - there were watch gems aplenty. Here a Haldimann H1, one of the truly rare central tourbillons...

The restaurant tried to keep pace, with a similarly themed Hokkaido pumpkin soup (one can see where the 'tourbillon' was placed here

).

In no particular order some more watches and food shots - starting with this fascinating Glashütte Original Senator Chronometer. This time, fortunately no watches were welded to the wrists.

And there were - equally rare - two of these present (if another participant could provide a picture of the RG one, I would be much obliged).

I guess there are no prizes for guessing who had this for a starter. All I can say is that heat treated meat was available, too

As were further hot watches. A well known Purist brought a great Memovox collection, all the way from the very first model, via some bumper automatics, funky HPGs all the way to the newest, Boutique only Bleu.

Getting back to that heat treated meat, even if only done so to a 'medium extent'...

Let me finish with a final shot, before we all went off on our respective trajectories, as wonderfully shown by this fabulous UN below. It was a great pleasure spending some very pleasant hours with you all and I hope to many more in the near future. And for the ones who could not make it this time, it was a blast

And you missed a very unique, piece unique, partially made and assembled by its owner (definitely not me)! Still, I am positive, the next one will be a blast, too, so there's to that!
Btw. for all the great watches that I did not get good shots off, feel free to add your own! And I suppose that sauvignon blanc was stronger than we thought - in spite of 4,5 Zenith P15s being present, we did not take a group shot
