Thanks for the excellent review with very sharp photos! I agree with all your analysis that the watch has lot to like. I would prefer the watch to be a bit thinner, just like you said. We were discussing on Youtube the reasons for not using the same movem... 

But I'm pretty relaxed about the reliability of the Peseux 7001... it even powers my Urwerk! ;-) Fx

I guess what they meant was that they could not receive the delivery of 7001 reliably (on time). In any case, I have placed an order and I am eagerly waiting for its delivery. Your review made me feel good about my decision to pull the trigger

Great to read your thoughts on it! I have the Silberstein version (love it)! I agree with you, not have a closed caseback with a bit more Vianney design is a bit of a minus. But fun piece nonetheless
