I much appreciate it! You are of course absolutely correct. And, I nor my fellow owners of this reference have not found documentation on these watches. They could have been private purchases, but the unusual chrome plating request seems unlikely to be retail, especially since all of the watches were configured the same way.

Just a nitpick: as an Italian I'd say that "Italian Regina Aeronautca" does not make much sense, perhaps "Italian Regia Aeronautica" without the "n" is better.
