Scarcity is an obvious plus for this one but to me the attraction is mainly due the the combination of this whooping dial/sweep hand with the ultimately classic/chic 60s Carrera case.

The 1564 although quite different from the Skipperera is also very nice,
the bezel and dial blue dial it offers is an appealing feature, the type of watch which spoils your tanned wrist over the summer.
I've made this shot last year with the very last Skipper reference 15640 on my wrist

Heuer history and productions over the 60s and upward are closely linked to race cars, Ferrari, Steve McQueen and many others sports/race cars symbols of the same era. This often shadows Heuer was a preferred timing devices provider for many others sports...

i have only seen it in pics on the web. i didnt realise how scarce they were, but its entirely possible a lot of them got soaked during the yacht racing. as always Laurent you have found a superb example to go with all your other superb Heuers. Enjoy Grah...
