There's an IWC split-minute timer that might do the trick
Introduced about 2004-5, this wacky IWC GST-line Aquatimer had a second minute hand that you could start and fly-back as necessary to time longer intervals than seconds.
I toyed with getting one but I couldn't figure out WHY and HOW I would use it. Apparently the confusion was widespread and it soon disappeared from the market.
I forget what the rocker switch at 8 does.
The pusher, crown, winder arrangement was confusing too!

in the JLC forum, the question was asked "Is there a mechanical watch with chronograph and alarm?"
I know of two, and I have seen only the Fortis, which is thick and a bit awkward. Do others know of more? A watch trying to do too much in one case? The Zenith Doublematic Cazalea ...
I only knew about the Fortis one!
I considered it for a little while but I don't find its ddesign refined enough. The Zenith is very nice! Good find! Best, E.
It was $15k back in 2012; I doubt they sold very many

A countdown timer with alarm! I recognize that the smart/easy way to do this wouldn't involve a double complication at all! Just tie the alarm to the minutes hand, so you could then set the alarm for up to 60 (or I guess 59) minutes ahead of your current ...

It was Paul Gerber who was tasked to add the alarm to the Fortis
And since it was added and not originally conceived that way which is why the movement and case is unusually thick
I'm not surprised it was Paul "what done it"
He's the logical choice after making the Lord Arran "world's most complicated watch" even more complicated. Thanks for the info Brandon. Mike
