I use Hadley Roma double-folding (butterfly) deployants on several watches. They work just fine and are comfortable. They come in stainless steel, and you can also get them with YG or RG plating. Hadley Roma also makes single-folding deployants, but I haven't seen or tried them. Many places sell them online for less than $40. You may want to try one of those, just to see if meets your needs.

I paid fraction of that to replace my
master ultra thin deployant from the London boutique. Money well spent, especially knowing it came directly from the maison with my exact reference in mind.
I have had a good experience with RHD deployants
They’re better for thicker sportier watches but I suspect it might still be doable for your MC. The double fold with push buttons is the one I use. Hope this helps.
