Horological Meandering

This must be disappointing, Marcus.

Those painted hands & over the spindles on the 146 are rather poor, and the original factory starburst blue dial so much better. TBH I wonder why Zenith see such workmanship as a valuable collaboration? I had a quick try on the customisation website - and agree the implementation of colour palate is rather 2 dimensional, and certainly not representative of the finished products you show.

Even if it where for free it's poorer than original, but for many £k above the standard Zenith price of their mid-market 146 then IMO its a complete non-starter. For a new modern & everyday watch (and to give the vintages more rest) I've had the 146 blue dial in consideration, and if eventually chosen it certainly won't be 'Bamfordised'.

Best,

Giles
