To me, the issue isn't the origins of the movement...
...after all the 6S37 seems to me a fine movement. Where it's made is also no big deal to me.
The big issue is that TAG-Heuer made press statements about searching for a suitable movement and, finding none, developed their own over several years. Which is less than the full story.
Now why would TAG-Heuer want to pretend they designed their own movement?.... oh.

golf clubs.... for all the big brands, the components are almost always made in china BUT.... assembled in USA or Japan for example and although ut is stated as "Assembled in USA" for example... some people still mistake it as being made in the US.
