We live in several places:
In Tallinn, capital of Estonia, in Helsinki, capital of Finland, in Lapland and in an island on the western part of Estonia. The best place to see Aurora Borealis is Lapland and our home there is pretty much in the middle of nowhere - some 250 km north of the Polar Circle. That's a perfect place to experience the northern lights very often. Sometimes northern lights are visible also in Helsinki or Tallinn but the brightness can't be compared to those of Lapland.
If you want to experience Aurora one day, I recommend that you travel to Lapland in the middle of winter. If it's not cloudy every day, you will most likely experience this light show.
Best, Kari
