Of Forbes 15 Best Women's Watches, I was bewildered. There is too much going on in the way of color, and design. I don't care for overelaborate watches and most of the Forbes choices fall in that category. IMO, when a watch determines what you can or cannot wear, it's not practical.
Since women tend to wear more jewelry than men, (earrings, necklaces, rings and a variety of costume accessories) it's important to have a flow in your jewelry.
Having a busy watch might work for some but I wouldn't wear it. I like simple gold, black or silver combinations with a rectangle, oval or square case and limited complications.
Of Forbes choices, I liked the TAG Heuer Carrera, the Dior VIII Grand Bal. The Glashutte Original Pavonina was a runner-up. My favorite of all was the Hublot Big Bang Broderie.
I much prefer Pings choices, they're not bossy, they try to fit into your life. Though I don't care for the Christophe Claret Margot, the sentimentality does have a certain appeal. I like the Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez Vous Night and the AP Millenary Quadriennium even though I don't care for round cases, I could fit them into my life, if I was given one. My fav was that 2015 Cartier Crash. It's an interesting fashion statement without being overbearing.
Nice job Ping, this was a great read.
