What would be the best watch for your wife or girlfriend?
Hello everyone
I noted that we do not talk a lot about watches for women. Even if it is a "specific market", more and more women seems to be interested in watches and could become collectors in a near future (I do not really know how brands manage this new trend).
Recently, one of my friend (a woman... as it is the subject of this topic!) asked me to help her to find a beautiful watch to buy. I tried but, to be honest, it was not so easy!
I tried to think like if it was a gift for my wife (even if she does not wear watches... too risky ;-) and I gave her several brands and references.
From my side, if I had to choose only one woman watch (without any price consideration), I will not hesitate a long time. I would buy the "Pont des amoureux" from Van Cleef & Arpels.
For me, this watch is really poetic and I really love it. The idea to use a retrograde complication for both minutes and hours and the only possibility for the man and woman to meet them on the bridge only at noon and midnight is a genius idea. Another one, the "Margot" from Christophe Claret, is also a very nice watch and really poetic too... but too big (42.5mm).
And you? What would be the best watch for your wife or girlfriend?
Best wishes

I have had the same difficulty. Only recently have watch brands created watches from the top to bottom specifically for women ( in other words, the movement was specifically designed for women). A lot of times, a movement from a male's watch was taken and...
