Which one to accompany me?
Dear PuristS,
I am going on a trip to virtual 'end of the world'. Of course, I need a watch to accompany me.
Please let me know what you think.
First a few parameters:
North of 71st parallel
North of 71st parallel
Temperature outside from -20 to -40 with icy winds and snow
Spend some time outside, spend more time inside (I hope)
Might have to wear a suit, but I can go watchless if need be for that.
Here is what I narrowed it down to:

I think the Breguet will fit the adventurous nature of that trip best CC
My vote goes for the Panerai
Especially on the bracelet, it looks as solid as a tank, begging to be exposed to the elements...

Or breguet also just fine, Idk, but if it was cold outside, I think the bracelet could freeze your wrist as well.... Regarding of the clasp, i think the omega clasp doesn't touch your skin much so you still could feel warm...
I also would add something:
If I had to wear it over some clothes, I can't do that with the PAM. Besides, if it went to space...
The Panerai is truly a tank, but too bulky to wear with thick clothings and ...
... worst if you wear a formal suit. I would take the Speedy: sporty but not wrong with a suit, reliable, tough, accurate and will look very nice in photographs you surely will shoot. My second option would be the IWC Mk XVIII though not so photogenic as ...
My choice goes to the Type XXI :)
Or if you can source it at short notice the Speedmaster Alaska
Sadly we should have bought it before the release of the Snoopy...
