Wow......a tough life for PuristS ABR watch AND you

Thanks for the owner's review and I mean l-o-n-g term review with no holds barred.
Most of us only prance around with our shiny PuristS ABR watches changing the straps for effect but your hard usage gives us real world experience.
My All-Black Rescue watch has certainly never met a rifle in the pine forest nor a wood axe! 
Your findings about the hard usage chipping off silicone matches what we find I the medical and cooking fields where similar material is used. The physical properties of inertness, temperature resistance and soft, smooth texture all make for a nice strap but they are Disinfectible and NOT Indestructible.
The current Mrs MTF also moved on to screw bars and a sting-ray leather strap.
I stopped wearing mine but this new strap has put a new lease of life into my wearing habits.

The original straps were a bit clumsy to put on, to say the least and now it is on Nato strap. This one is way cool and looks much easier to put. Thanks for the news! Ken
There are "bars" for the leather strap which came with ABR..
... and using that as the spring bars for other watches. Nato may be a bit thick, but it is doable. Ken
To further clarify, the "bars" only come with the leather strap

Melvyn, this is a much better designed strap.
My only concern is about its durability. Having said that, I will certainly get two - one for spare, considering the cost is only 10% of croco strap. Regards Ling
