Horological Meandering

For my 2000th post I have decided to write a few words about my collection. I am grateful and proud of the 7 watches I managed to collect during the last 4/5 years. Each of them represents a facet of my taste. As you will see, I have a preference for simp...  

Of the pieces that you have I think my 2 favorites are the Santos and the Reverso. The Santos because I want a Cartier so bad and the Tank will be my next watch purchase, and the Reverso, well because it is a Reverso. All of your others are equally as nic... 

The reverso and the santos are my favorite too, alongside my datejust. Both of them pack a lot of character into a small form factor.

I wear it fairly frequently.

It's a great configuration. I miss the jubilee, that's why I put my name down for the batgirl instead of the batman.

I loved the first datejust, but it was clearly off... Franken parts and a movement that would frequently stop. I had to let it go.

I love your collection. You know my love for the Tudor 58 and a Reverso is on my wishlist. But I must say that your blue DJ sits so pretty on your wrist. 👍🏻 Looking forward to the next 2000. Enjoy!

2000 posts, that is huge. Congratulations and up to more posts. What i like about you and your watches is the passion for passion. We both have a simular approach to watches. Not every watch is the same, but we collect almost the same quantity in 4 to 5 y...  

Thanks for the kind words, you really hit the spot when talking about passion. I feel exactly like that. I too am quite interested in brands that have an appealing story behind them, just like the one of Willy Breitling. That pistachio dial is a beautiful... 

Each year a new or used watch. Up to 12. Go for 15 watches. Go for only the ones that i must collect. A short list of must haves. Do not look crazy when i say Cartier Santos. Breguet Marine 2012 model. Here it comes, Breitling Navitimer. Corum Admiral’s c... 

I can endorse the Santos 100%

I thought today of the Overseas. Sure the 222 is the boss. A modern one would be a good idea, because a twin beat is far beyond my reach.

I'm glad that they released it in 35mm this year... that would be my pick.

I hope you get your 35mm Overseas soon. I will search where i can find a 40mm on rubber.

You have built a great collection already with some excellent strong pieces. Also a good idea to slow down as you have done now that you have all bases covered. I have made a rule for myself that says only one watch per year. It has made me make better ch... 

One watch per year will probably be a good strategy moving forward. I am going to slowly start moving upmarket and focus on quality over quantity.
