It would be far better to ask Don for his perspective. I'll ask him to review this thread. Just so that it's clear, I've never seen Mr Kiu's work in the metal, and the few Seagulls I've seen were not at all inspiring. I have no knowledge at all of the Memorigin models in question.

Not home made, but hand made. Mr. Kiu's tourbillons were really made by hand. Not industrial fabrication sterily decorated to perfection by hand. For my money that is an advantage, age old hand crafts still being made today. The sweat and soul of one man ...
