These things are the height of gaucheness, yet somehow elicit a little charm. They have no right to exist, and the fact that replacing the battery invites the thought that it might be more economic simply to throw it away raises other issues. Still, here we are. They are amusing in their own way, these Oulms from China. The lobular one on top, like a metastatic version of art nouveau is one friend's, the middle one, which looks like it was ripped from the dash of an early 70s plymouth is mine, and the last, the one that is clearly inspired by Soviet-era submarine hardware belongs to another friend. They're all insane. And that's what makes them fun.
