A Gronefeld is a watch

 

that to be honest does not require the words 'handcrafted'  on it.  Those in the know know that the watch is hand made.  But I think the national identity of the watch does matter to the makers of the watch and we should respect that. Marco Lang of Lang & Heyne for example includes 'made in saxony' rather than 'made in germany' on his dials. He obviously is very proud of his origins and as not many watches originate from The Netherlands, I can imagine that Bart and Tim Gronefeld are equally proud of putting their country's name on a watch. This is quite unique and original as I do not believe Christian Van Der Klauw (the other famous Dutch watch brand) includes this on the dial of his watches.


Sorry, I have looked at the so called 'chin' closely and will say it is hardly noticeable, just like the diamond markers on the Patek 5170P!  smile
