Another bad experience with Fedex
Hi Darren,
In 2006, a YG VH Antiqua, returning to his owner after servicing, was "lost" in the Fedex premises in LA ! No need to say that it was never retrieved.
Moreover, this was the opportunity to learn that the Fedex insurance liabiity for watches was limited to 500 USD while the cost of the insurance - as based on the value of the watch - was about 450 USD.
Happily enough, we also have a company transport insurance.
But it took more than 6 months before we were able to deliver a replacement watch to the customer and , of course, we could not replace the sentimental value of his initial watch.
Perhaps you should sue Fedex for inexcusable fault and claim for the another 2 years you will have to wait for.
Cheers
Philippe

Needed a virtual shoulder to cry on, so figured this was the place. Learned last week that my Christian Klings was regulated, packed and on its way to the United States. A very happy day indeed. Now the waiting game begins. First a call from customs, and ...

I had this happen to me once with a shipment, and it is indeed a sick feeling, though yours must be compounded by the unique nature of your watch and the long wait. I hope you have a good outcome, just as I eventually did. Bill

You must be going through a whole range of emotions at the moment: frustration, sadness, anger ... It's still early days and hopefully there are some understanding and helpful people at FedEx and the receiving company. Best wishes for a good outcome and k...

what a horror story. I don't know what the transport and insurance cost, but I think the price of a flight to pick up the watch personally may be a worthwhile investment just in peace of mind. I hope they find your watch and that this turns out well. Don
Darren, I wish you luck

Because your watch was abducted and stolen by criminal(s)! Whether that has anything to do with the insurance-transport company, the police, or any other authority - I can't know. But watches - and other things - usually "don't go missing", Baggage on an ...
