Christophe Claret announces the Marguerite Ladies Watch
Christophe Claret announced his new ladies watch the Marguerite last Monday in a presentation at the Hotel Beau-Rivage on the shore of Lake Neuchâtel. This watch is the second ladies watch in the Christophe Claret collection following the Margot. Both watches have the flower the Marguerite or Daisy as the basic design element.
The Margot plays the "He loves me, he loves me not" in its French declination. The simpler Marguerite shows the flight of butterflies around the flower. The hour pointer is a butterfly sitting on the tip of a petal of the flower which turns once an hour. The minutes are shown by a butterfly flying around the flower. The butterflies are in Superluminova and light in the dark.
The watch has several other interesting features. The diamond setting on the bezel is in two different forms; the "Champagne" setting has the diamonds like the bubbles in champagne, close together at the bottom and farther apart at the top. "Snowflake" setting has a loose pattern like falling snowflakes.
The dial has two displays, showing either the hour digits or the phrase "He loves me pasionately" in French (other languages will be available). A push button at 2 o'clock changes the display.
The base movement is an automatic movement from Blainpain.
