Congratulations! Always a delight to behold this watch.
I call this the 'unlikely watch'! And you have elected to visit Embassy to pick yours, which is always a nice (if not, also memorable) experience (mail-orders don't get the special treat of chocolates, tea or the lakes and the mountains!).
I discovered some trivial on this watch of late:
(1) production as of the 10th anniversary has exceeded 1,000 watches in total. Anecdotally I hear annual production to be anywhere from 25 to 100 pieces, though I am more inclined to go with a lower number between these two numbers.
(2) I wonder if any expert here has an answer to this issue: in coupling a chronograph with the second hand, a moving second hand is essentially running on the chronograph mechanism, and hence expectedly, consumes more energy relative to a hacking second hand in an automatic movement. Inferring from this aspect of the MIH design, would we expect a lower power reserve--all things equal--with the second hand qua chronograph running, in contrast to a stationary second hand at the 12 o'clock position?
(3) I hope they do not cease production on this 'unlikely watch'; yet I suppose despite a utterly Swiss commitment to perpetuate production, inevitably, production on this watch will stop. Nonetheless, Embassy is committed to the service of these watches, which I have to say add to the whole ownership experience in a milieu when post-sales ownership experience is either outrightly neglected, or has become the least-cared-about category despite its importance in brand loyalty (or the maintenance of the 'fleet')--whichever comes first!
Enjoy this watch. Every one of them is special.
