Dear Mo, your feeling is entirely shared

I'm often thinking about watches, the offers we are provided with, the brands which stand out, the ones who are not doing the work on the contrary of what they may be saying everyday etc...

I often come to the same conclusion: many independents watchmakers are often apart and... in the top segment. And De Bethune is certainly at the highest level.

We may like or not the style from DB watches but in terms of finishing, originality, imagination, taste, engineering, the brand is among the best brands today when talking about what some call "high-end horlogery".

I saw one of the 12 Mayan DB25 two years ago and it looked indeed fantastic. Even if I get much more pleasure in other models for their collection, as I said.

They could manage to do something artistic and needing much skill, without adding to the wide bunch of enamel, painted dials all the traditional brands pour on the market. They should do so and it is a good thing but as they all do the same it is nice to see something different too.
