Even this supporter of the H8 philosophy is able to appreciate your logical extension of the line. Of course, there is one 'grand complication' you have overlooked: proffering money to the artist-priest for the watch (or no watch) kept in its safe by him still puts a value on time. In order not to be so crass, so vulgar, as to attempt to define time in monetary terms one must give to the artist-priest ALL that one has, be it a little or a lot. Only by surrendering everything else for that model can one truly be free of all 'measurement' of time. In that way Saint Beat allows the truest of collectors to become the richest of men, and the richest of men to become the knowers of Time.

LOL, I miss your post the most when I'm away from the forum.
