Habring2 decisions, decisions..............

You may remember a couple of weeks, I threw open the question about which independent to go for, between the Habring2 & Nomos.

Though, I have yet to see either brand for real, this will be rectified this week, when I get to view them both.

Since my last question, I have been researching both brands. And my heart seems to be leaning towards the Habring2.

I have been in touch with both Maria & the AD in the UK several times over the past two weeks. To discuss the various options.

I would like to personalise this piece, to make it individual as I can, as it is likely to be my only independent piece and after reading a large number of threads and having spoken with Maria, they appear only too happy to accommodate

Now when I first asked the question, I stipulated that the watch should have a date.

But now I am unsure, after reading so many posts and seeing the different models!

So, I am left with making a decision on which model?

My choices...........I think are: Jumping Second with date. Chrono ZM or Foudroyante. I do like the Doppel3 but personally I prefer the original one.

I like the colour of the dials on the earlier Chronos & Doppel2

I am also thinking of personalising the watch by adding a power reserve & having the blue screws in the movement.

I am really looking forward to seeing these watches next week and I know that amongst this forum, there are some very keen fans of Maria & Richard.

Please, while I am waiting to visit teh AD, give me your thoughts, experiences and equally important show me your photos.

Here's one of each, TC: It will always be a question of individual preference. Speaking personally, the indices (as opposed to numerals) on the chrono appeal more but so too does the absence of date on the Doppel. Hmmmm, there might have to be a numeral-...
