Hi Bill...

I might as well tell you the journey now. Around 2003 I got obsessed w/ looking at Panerai watches on internet forums, not sure how. I landed my dream job in 2005 and bought myself a pre-owned Panera PAM 141. I was good for a long time. I would say the COVID pandemic had an impact. In 2021 I decided life is too short and start treating myself better. I guess that means buying material things. 2024, traded in 1 obsession for another and went down the rabbit hole. Learned about independents and micros. Was on Reddit, but found it toxic. Went to WatchCrunch, but seems difficult to find others w/ similar tastes. Discovered WhatsApp watch groups and now I am in 10 of those I think. Over the past year or so, I have bought a lot of watches, traded some. I would say I have a somewhat diverse collection, close to 60 now - some traditional dress or precious metal, some sport, recently a lot of indies. Only 2 quartz. No real haute horology. There's too many watches and not enough $.
