I like them.
Two things I want out of them that I think are fulfilled perfectly in Kurono and Grone, pretty well in SUF and MAD:
1. Maintenance of a clear stylistic/personality continuity with the original brand. Kurono, Grone, and MAD all do this perfectly, SUF maybe irons out a bit too much of the Sarpaneva quirkiness from my point of view.
2. Not just lower prices (and of course lower quality) but meaningfully increased accessibility. MAD stumbled a bit on this.
Confession: I owned a Kurono 34 which was cute as a button but did not survive long in my collection because the overall quality felt a bit low for me. I do not blame them for this at all! It was perfectly appropriate to its $1k pricepoint, I'm just spoiled.
