I seem to recall
we have had very civilized and interesting exchanges of viewpoints here some other places in the past. Beside, I was one of the first one to welcome you as a moderator of PsPro… You may not remember and it probably does not matter.
I just feel that at a time when a lot of the content on PsPro is being injected by moderators, maybe it is ok to give place for others opinions and feelings. Yes, off course our opinion can differ. It his not about right and wrong. For me it is also just getting the feeling that some one is not always going to have the last word. I can have the last word on what I advance… Some of us "out there" might have just as much "knowledge" as you might have yourself. There is no teacher and pupil situation.

With ths new dial, it is not the same watch could be silly, but the DB25 "seems" less thick. I am fully satisfied with the results.

I will tell you something.
Brands have explained me during years and years (even the largest one, mainly the largest ones) that personalization is very difficult due to the structure of the industry and that it is too complex to handle this type of request for third party providers...
C mon FX,everything is possible,especially if you have manufactures...The indies(some) do it all the time..
De Bethune never had any problem in doing it ,from the simplest change to the bespoke piece(if money is not an issue). Kari also provides different dials or high personalisation..the answer you get from these brands?"No Problem,we can do it.." Others who ...
I agree and I also understand the bigger brand's position:
The independents are the nearly last representative of the State of the Art in watchmaking. They do bespoke because they like to and are nearly as excited as the customer to discover how the final product will look like. They have the curiosity and energy...

I am being a bit critical for the following reasons: 1)YES,an uncontrolled bespoke department would be very difficult to manage,imagine how many Lange fans or Patek(!!!) or any other brands would love a little personalisation if it was easily available......

THe blue dial was also the dial that opened to me the De Bethune manufacture. It offers great colour variations and could be worn with almost anything. But ,as i said, with time, i got less excited. The new dial offers new feelings and new discoveries.
