I take the minibus quite a lot too.
And definitely when going to Central as it’s by far the most efficient from where I stay.
But to be fair, the minibus drivers are quite aggressive too. Like the taxis one needs to hold on tight!! I have actually been in two green minibus crashes; minor stuff but it ended our journeys in both cases.
You are right about Uber; at least ten minutes in advance. In terms of price, it’s still way way cheaper than any car (taxi, Uber, black) in the US so to me it remains justifiable.

It’s funny, I bought the orange for my CB about 8 years ago.
And I usually mount it on that or a turquoise strap. So I’m not afraid of the orange for sure. I may hold off for bright colours until the summer. We’ll see.
