I’ve owned an 1817 model for almost a year.
Love Torsti’s work! He’s the real deal in terms of a Watchmaker. These models are his entry level, utilizing a tractor motor if a base movement, with which to exhibit his Watchmaking and hand finishing skills while bringing it to folks at what I know to be a very fair and real value.
Generic movement doesn’t do his work justice btw.
Having examined his Chronograph during Basel this year, I can tell you, there is much to be admired for this artisanal Independent Watchmaker. Another Finnish master creating his watches in his style. Take the time to learn about Torsti and his background and I think many here would find his work quite compelling.
