I wondered when this color would be used.
Back in 2022 when the Marc Newson hour glass project was underway, the rejected titanium ball bearings came out of the kiln colored dark burgundy. At the time, I told them they had enough to make an additional unique hour glass with the red BBs. That never happened, but I believe that the rejected hour glass BBs may have inspired this new Starry Varius dial.

As part of the Geneva Watch Days, De Bethune released some exquisite new beauties. Amongst them are this new Starry Varius variant which is arguably the best version so far, IMHO. Objectively, they are all great; but subjectively this one makes me “feel” ...
These are remarkable.
I don't know if I'll ever get the chance to see them up close, but the SV has always had my heart from De Bethune. Fantastic pieces.
Agree on both points; these being a nicer colour, especially the rose gold case and dial combo, and the smaller sizing.
Still, if I ever own a DB I want it to be a wilder one. Same is true for MB&F.
