Independents at BaselWorld 2016 - Christophe Claret
Claret showed new variants of his ladies watches, the Margot and Marguerite, the Arabic version of the Margot with verses from the poet Qays Al Mulawwah getting it's own name, the Layla.
He also showed unique pieces based on his tourbillon calibers.
We saw here another example of how having 2 watch Fairs within 3 months is stressing the smaller brands to have something new to show. I can't imagine that many of these brands will continue to show at both the SIHH and BaselWorld in the future.
