After my visit to the Laurent Ferrier atelier (see here: www.watchprosite.com
) I recently took delivery of my own Galet Traveller World. This coincided with a nice Laurent Ferrier presentation and wine tasting evening at William and Son in London where Mr. Ferrier himself was present along with the CEO Vanessa Monestel.
I did a brief write up when I chose this watch. I tried every travel time watch I could lay my hands on from a number or brands (including Patek, Lange, JLC, Glashutte etc.). The Laurent Ferrier Galet Traveller won hands down for me in terms of both readability and usability as well as comfort on the wrist. I wanted this to be a watch I would actually use when I travelled so these were all important considerations.
Next I had the difficult task of which version of the Traveller. White Gold for sure but which dial? When I saw and was able to try on the World Enamel dial variant I knew it was the one for me. It just worked and ticked another box in terms of a style of watch for my collection (The PP5131 is no longer on my want list
There are so many details I also love like the way the hour markers hang over the edge of the outer ring, the shape of the hands. the detail finishing.
So the usual box and presentation pictures and then some of the watch itself both on and off the wrist. Close ups by Alex Woodmansee (find him in Instagram). No captions, I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
