Laurent Ferrier makes a beautiful timepiece!
I believe either of these works well for a casual use. While that opinion seems obvious for the square case, the classic case gets dressed down because of the sector dial and the numerals on the railroad track adjacent to the bezel.
Two reasons I prefer the classic are: 1) the “smoothed pebble” is admirably accomplished by the casemaker — the bezel and lugs are virtually indistinguishable from the middle of the case, and 2) winding it is a sublime experience that you will enjoy.
Even though you posted these two watches together, they are really quite different.
I am interested to see what your final choice is, my friend.
