No idea...
I haven't the faintest idea. I just feel there's something that doesn't quite work visually. I've seen graphics designers make minor, subtle changes that completely alter the overall feel and balance of a design and make it suddenly "work". Perhaps something like that is needed here. I can't draw matchstick men in proportion so I certainly couldn't do it.
