Just arrived. Kudos to Kurono for meeting their pre-Christmas delivery timer. I took a couple of quick 📱 pics while sun is out. I would like to ask you, the forum, two questions - one of which is a request for opinion while the other is a fact-based quest...

that is a nice combo. A brown strap was also an option in my mind, but never considered a Nato strap. Thank you.

But I love it! The Mori is very versatile, with this combo it looks like a luxury field watch... I have another tip: Hermès makes super nice straps available in the Mori lug width, I have a black calf on my Chronograph 1... a bit pricey but extra supple a...  

Maybe you could consider a nice green strap as well . Green on green is a nice combo imho ...  

especially blue or green (extrapolating from the Blue Lagoon), but I thought blue clashed, and green I could get a visual in my head. But this strap is uniquely beautiful...although I expect you’re going to tell me it came with the Seiko 😤. But that’s a c... 

And no that strap didn’t came with the watch . Tbh the OEM straps from Seiko are not compfy or nice at all . All my Seiko watches have aftermarket straps .

As for the strap I would say that the black one is an easy solution but not necessarily the best one: maybe too conventional, Instead grey might be an option but brown obviously suits quite well wether leather NATO, or gator strap

I agree that the black too conventional for what I want to try. So, will look into the above recommendations, with grey as default if nothing else. By chance do you know if a curved end strap can be put on this Mori, or does it have to be a straight end/ ... 

...why not asking to the artist watchmaker? I assume he shouls be in a position to tell you... At least try it costs nothing asking and you may be faced with a pleasant surprise...

Sounds wonderful! How is the finish on the Kurono? I love Asaoka-San's work but was not sure about the Kurono since it is made by others. Would love your full review!

And will more closely scrutinize, but without being judgmental given the price point and intentions of Asaoka-san and his team to produce a meaningful offering.

To bring a more reasonably priced offering to market yet still be true to his aesthetic and concept. And producing them in reasonable numbers instead of the literal handful produced in his own workshop.
