...frankly speaking it does not look like a Panerai more than a Patek would look like a Rolex just because the case is round.
1. Cushion shape : there are plenty of cushion shape cases in the history of horology, much much before Panerai and as far as vintage Rolex (but not only, so many brands had cushion shape cases in the 30's).
2. Apart from the (cushion) shape of the case, the style of a Laurent Ferrier looks like anything but a Panerai imho : the first is more a fine elegant casual dressy watch, the latter is more a sporty elegant watch (thicker, larger, dial quite simple vs the refined LF)
In other words I do not criticize the Radiomir at all but the look is soooo totally different and they address 2 different types of clients or I should say clients who have a different style.
Simply put the 2 watches side by side and you will be convinced by my arguments I think...
But again it's all a question of perception and when I look at my LF Gallet Square I see anything but a Radiomir.
